Life isn't about the breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away...

Christmas Season here we COME!!

With only a few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, we literally unpacked from being at Nana and Papa's for the week, and headed up to the attic to bring down Christmas decor- we were READY!!

...love this sign';)

Pete digging into the tree;)... he gloves up and goes in strong.  Not his favorite part of the decor prep, but when it's finished...

....it looks so pretty!!!  Girls love getting it all put together.

Evelyn was cracking me up- SUCH a little helper she is.  She helped me with all the trees in the house- wanting to decorate them ALL by herself.  Then I would walk into the room to see the lower half of the tree adorning ALL the ornaments- haha!  She was so proud of herself though;).

... little Christmas cheer for the angel babies;)
love you, Jack and Nora- Merry Christmas!!!

...after a DAY of jammies and decorating, the house was beginning to look a lot like Christmas;).

...so of COURSE we felt we needed to have some popcorn and watch Elf!

Advent Calendar gifts were set and big tree all sparkly (with it's ornaments finally spread out;))...

...table winter ready,

...and mantle Santa ready,

but my FAVORITE part of the decor, were these two deer.  I've wanted them for years, it's almost a running joke, I add them to Pete's hardware store list every time he goes.  With a quick eye roll he heads out, always sans deer when he returns.  BUT this year, he finally crossed them off his list.  He adorned the outside of the house with lights this year AND added Mr and Mrs Deer... he has one happy wife;)... they make me smile every time I drive by them at night- thank you, hubs!!

{Gingerbread Train}
The kids had so much decorating their parts of the train- got to love when a set like that comes with 3 separate items to decorate- far less arguing that way- ha!

{Christmas Train}
I was excited this year to try a little something new to celebrate the holidays.  We suited up in our jammies and headed out for a train ride.

Jammies, gingerbread, and hot chocolate make for a fun night!!
Maggie was cracking us up- she LOVED it!!  She's very into trains right now; every time the train would honk she would yell "choo choo, all-aboard".  It was so cute and she just sat staring out the window most of the time.

It went a little too long for little bear... she fell fast asleep on his lap there toward the end;).

Christmas puzzle completed... and I got these silly cups made for Pete to take while we drove around looking at Christmas lights: he LOVES making ice cream floats of ANY kind so I dubbed him "the float master", had these cups made, and we filled them up with float goodness and loaded up to see the lights;).

{Christmas Cookies}
We opted to do this crazy activity with Maggie's therapist in town.  We cut them out (Pete is sooooo good at that by the way- mine always turn into blobs;)), and then decorated them the next day.  So funny to watch the decorating technique:

Evelyn going one cookie at a time, working it until she was 100% satisfied before moving to the next one, Maggie was busy squeezing icing and piling all the toppings on, while Harper was blasting through decorating like 20 cookies- ha!!

Mommy got a night our with friends for a Secret Santa Party...
thank you, Mandy... you're a fantastic hostess and have such a nice group of friends!!

...and Mommy AND Daddy attended the annual Price Christmas party in style- ha!  Pete has a thing for this party- always wanting to be outrageously dressed- Mr and Mrs Candy Cane did not disappoint- ha!
Thank you for hosting, Niki... we SO look forward to this every year;).

Pete and Harper (aka cutest Star Wars groupies I know;)) had a little date to see the newest Star Wars movie.  Pete legit wore his Star Wars shirt for a week leading up to it and Harper could not WAIT to have this special time with her Daddy... so cute!

We had carolers!!!  One of our friends asked if her youth group could come by to serenade us- YES PLEASE!!!!  They was AWESOME and Harper is sold- we HAVE to do it next year- hehe!!

...I think she has caroling in her heart that evening, as when I came to pick her up from Sunday School that night she was part of the choir greeting parents at pick up, maraca in hand, singing Feliz Navidad.  Love her;).

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth;)....
Maggie is one tooth down, and one ALMOST there a week before Christmas!!!  She looks (and sounds) adorable.... hahaha- cutie!!

Cheesing it up for Winter Party festivities at school!

...Maggie made chocolate brick with her class and gifted it to the teachers in the school!

...we had fun doing all the activities, eating all the sugary treats,

and singing all the Christmas songs to celebrate this time of year!  Complete with antlers and a red nose, Evelyn LOVED it all!

Harper's piano teacher came to our home for her last lesson before holiday break to have a little "holiday recital" for us.  It is so sweet watching these two together and they did such a nice job playing festive tunes for us!

{Merry Christmas, Cheyenne}
Harper and littlest sister got to head out to the stables one last time this season to see the horses.  Harper cuddled it up with Cheyenne, enjoying her last ride for a bit...

...and teaching Evelyn all there is to know about horses;).

Evelyn even got to go for a ride!!

Now, we are packed up and READY for the main event: Christmas in Indiana!!  This may be our kids most favorite week of the whole year... Christmas in Indy is rush of all their favorites: family, treats, and festivities.  So looking forward to packing 'er up and heading north.

Merry Christmas!!!!!
