and..... we're back!!!!

My goodness it has been awhile since I have sat down to blog but I DO have a reason- I really wasn't trying to be lazy ;):

There is a certain TLC family that lives near us in Arkansas. Pete and I had a couple friends in town and thought it would be fun to see if we could drive by their home. Anyway, what is a fun chase without an address?!?! So, I attempted to look up their home location on the computer when out of nowhere, my computer crashed.... go figure, right?! I thought it was cursed or something... turns out a couple weeks at the MAC store for repairs and things are good as new- hehe- but I still think that just MAYBE this large family would rather their home life stay private (I guess I don't blame them;), but did we still find their house... oh yes we did!!!!!

So, enough of that back story... here I am at ALMOST 37 weeks and I am SOOO excited to see Harper!!!! We had our 36 Week appointment today and all seems well: I am dilated to a good 1 cm and the doctor can feel her cute little noggin' right there and ready! Is it bad that I want to know if she can feel any hair... ya, I know- I probably need to worry about more important things! Anyway, she is pretty certain with my progress and all things considered that Harper will make her arrival 1-2 weeks early!! We'll see though....

Pete has been equally excited as we anticipate her arrival! His main concern: making our wildflower garden... I mean yard ;) a little more aesthetically pleasing... It would be wonderful to see our flower bed from the street- oh wait, maybe you can catch a small glimpse through the weeds... ;) Although it is kind of a mess, I know we both enjoy getting out there and tackling it... a man does love his yard ;).

He has been wonderful in helping around the house with things while attending to me and my whiny self... my goodness he has been amazing- some moments I really don't know where he musters up all that patience!

So, this was a short and sweet welcome back, I have more to share, but duty calls- I got to get back to work!

I hope you all have a wonderful week!!!!!

A Penguin Affair ;)

My oldest friend, Megan, and her mother hosted a beautiful baby shower honoring our penguinette during my visit to Indianapolis. She did an outstanding job- I was speechless at how thoughtful all the little touches were; it was a wonderful afternoon spent with family and my closest friends. I was so touched by all of the special things done that afternoon and the many blessings we received.... thank you ALL OF YOU for your kindness and support as we prepare for our little girl!

Megan made a cake out of baby diapers...it was beautiful and surrounded by all sorts of penguins- I LOVED IT!

My mom, grandmother, and I
(almost 4 generations ;))

Christy & I
she took all of these great pictures and more of the shower... thank you!!!

Even though I'm laughing so hard I have a double chin, I had to share this picture... Harper has officially received her first bikini! Her "aunts" (my sisters;) found this adorable number for her and I just couldn't stop laughing when I opened it... I just KNEW Pete's face would be priceless when he saw it

...and yes he was as I quote, "that will be her one and only bikini-she better enjoy it now" ;)- oh the teenage years are going to be fun... hehe

Abby and Anna: thank you so much for making my day... just seeing how excited you are to meet Harper is so great- love you guys so much!!

I loved the favors... they were beautifully done and of course I just couldn't get enough of the little penguins

Thank you again to all of you who were a part of the shower. To all of you who I was able to visit with and those whom we received amazing gifts from- thank you! Pete and I have been blown away by the support from all of you.... amazing how you have shown your love for Harper and our little family- it has meant so much!

33 & 34 Weeks

So, I spent last weekend home with my family! It was a wonderful time spent with my sisters, parents, extended family, and friends!

Heartbeat

I had a wonderful time back home in Indianapolis with my family! I felt so blessed to see many people while I was there in town for our baby shower! It was so great to spend quality time with my mom as well... she definitely knows how to treat us kids right... it was SO GREAT to be home!!!!

My sisters and I decided that a little artistic touch to my ever-growing belly would be fun ;)- and a cute way to share with you all where i am at 33 Weeks:

Of course I wished that Pete could have been up there with me! He was a WONDERFUL husband... driving me to the airport and taking care of things back here in Arkansas while I enjoyed time up north with my family..... love him!!!!
