Life isn't about the breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away...

Firsts, Friends, and Football

2019 is off to a good start.  We are all settling into the routine of the new year....

{Soaking up School}
Evelyn is going to be moving to the pre-k classroom in March, so she is spending January soaking up her favorite teachers and friends in her current classroom.

{Littlest Sister's FIRST Playdate}
One of her classmate's moms invited FOUR ALMOST-FOUR-YEAR-OLDS over to her home one morning.  She is a saint.  Evelyn had a BALL playing dress-up, making, slime...

....playing games, and eating lunch with her friends.  It was precious!!!  We all seem to be dealing with sick kiddos this winter, but we can't wait for another playdate this spring with these cuties!

{Jitterbugs}
Evelyn has been taking dance this school year and had her first recital with her friends!  She made us all smile as she got up on that stage and danced her heart out- she's a performer for sure!

Maggie has had a quiet month, but she's enjoying it!  Welcoming a couple new people on her Thrive team, it's been a month of getting used to her "new normal".  She is doing well and (knock on wood) the most well of all of us through cold and flu season!!  Her sweet PT's got her these leg braces to put on her American Girl Doll.  So cute!!!  I love how they match the braces that Maggie wears on her feet- so special.

Harper is also trying to settle into HER winter normal.  If weather permitted, she literally would be outside running around from dawn to dusk.  This winter we are trying to explore some more indoor interests until it warms up a bit... HA!  Lately you can find her dancing her heart out to a Taylor Swift song....

...or deep in a book or craft.

...all the while dressing like it's already summer- hehe!!
This animal lover was stoked to hold this itty-bitty puppy at our friend's house....

...as much as she was to explore the new filters on snapchat- goodness!

"Mommy, I"m going to need a carrot.  Make that 4 carrots.  We're going to make snowmen."
Oh girls... they geared up in their warmest stuff before even eating breakfast to run around in the first snowfall in Arkansas.  It was barely a dusting, but they were determined to build SOMETHING in it...hehe!

Pete and I opted to make some homemade breakfast skillets from the in of doors and watch their fun- haha!

Friend time + Pizza time = the BEST
Took advantage of both daddies being out of town.  Price family combined forces with us one night to put some pizzas together...

...and goof off for a bit!  LOVE!!!!!

{Friends}

Speaking of friends, Jen won the prize one day.  Pete was traveling, yet again, and I somehow misplaced my keys.  I am kind of a freak about order and organization, so for me to actually LOSE something I become a bit unhinged!  Anyway, with the spare car keys being with my husband a state away, Jen not only drove me to get all my ducklings, but ALSO helped me search and research my home for the keys... where did we find them?!  Buried in dirty cat litter, in a trash bag, in the garage.  GROSS!!!!  No idea how they got there....

Super Bowl 2019
I grew up watching football with my family and even though I'm not SUPER into it, I do treat the event like a mini-holiday.  I love making fun food, and gathering the troops for the game and halftime show!
This year it was the Patriots against the Rams.  We were cheering for the Rams and although they played a good game, didn't come out on top.

...but I think the kids came out on top.... of their sugar high and giddiness from eating junk food for dinner IN the living room- lol!!

{Paint the Town Red}
Pete and I enjoyed a night out with his work crew to help support the American Heart Association.  Such a fun event with new and old friends... I kinda enjoyed the excuse to dress-up a bit and get out with the hubs!!!

I am WORKING on enjoying running- ha!!  I am a bit of a weather wuss when it comes to running, always enjoyed shorter runs on the treadmill, but Pete and I decided to sign up for a half-marathon together, so I am running more.  Enjoying getting stronger, but I actually FELL for the first time and skinned up my leg- so embarrassing!!!!

After a very long week of letting my leg heal, I was back at it... running...running...running into 2019!
