Hard to believe this little baby....
...is now FOUR!!!!!
I say it often, but feels like yesterday I was bringing her home to meet our crazy crew and now she looks and acts SO BIG... not quite my baby anymore!
This year, we decided to celebrate with her FIRST birthday party! Evelyn is her own person. Ms. Independent from the very beginning: stubborn and decisive always. Asking her about her birthday party was no different. She immediately knew the theme of her party, where she wanted it, the friends to invite, and what kind of cake and snacks she wanted- ha! She cracks me up, but she sure did make party planning easy!!
My Little Pony themed party at The Little Gym where she and her friends danced and rolled around on all the gymnastics equipment.
She was in Heaven....
...and so were her friends and sisters!
Maggie LOVED the music and crawling around on all the equipment!
{Friend Time}
Capri Sun's, goldfish, and applesauce to share!
Rainbow cupcakes and balloons!!
...she was the life of the party UNTIL it was time to sing Happy Birthday. She was so shy, but quickly snapped back into party mode afterwards, snatched my phone without me knowing, and took pics of her friends- ha! She had a BALL with her buddies; she stood at the door with her treatbags, hugging and thanking each person that came- so sweet!!
We opted to bring the gifts HOME so she could open them at her own speed. I think big sister was thrilled with that idea: they spent the rest of the day unwrapping and playing with her new items!
March 6, 2019
Evelyn Marie turns FOUR!!!!
Birthday lights: check
Balloons and party table set: check
pinata stuffed and ready: check
Her favorite surprise: a Pinkie Pie balloon that she can "walk" along the floor. She tugged Pinkie Pie around for a solid week... you never knew where you'd find her: in her room, the bathroom, the couch, in her bed... lol. It's the simple things, right?!
We made the birthday girl her favorite meal: spaghetti, peas, and grapes, with garlic bread!
The fam all signed in to Facetime so we could sing Happy Birthday altogether....
...she battled being shy and was excited for her rainbow birthday cake;)!
side note: really trying to make their cakes homemade while they're little, but WOW this rainbow cake was tricky... who knew it took SO MUCH FOOD COLORING to get the vibrant rainbow colors!!! Legit took me two tries- ha.... but it was worth it to see her face when she got her Pony Rainbow cake;).
We unwrapped the family gifts... she cuddled every SINGLE one...
and that was a WRAP - another birthday in the books!!!
Daddy-assisted thank you note writing;)... working on writing her name! Aren't they cute!?
Evelyn Marie.
Feisty. Spirited. Athletic. Stubborn. Cuddly.
That's our girl. She keeps us on our toes EVERY SINGLE DAY. Cannot imagine life without her... she loves hard and we get a kick out of her dancing, crazy self!
Love you, little bear!
Happy FOUR, baby girl!
