2019 Here we COME!

New Years Eve 2019!

all the noisemakers and party supplies purchased....
champagne toast candle lit (lol;))...

...and pizza supplies laid out!

Bring on the celebrating!
Kinda love that our super fancy friends choose US to celebrate NYE with!!  We are the laid back, pizza making, game playing, chilling type of NYE people...

well and those that do their fair share of goofing off with snapchat;)....

But seriously, lucky for us that Niki, Jarrod, and crew enjoy a bit of down time and fun with us to bring in the new year!  LOVE THEM!

...obligatory pic of us ready to tackle 2019!

After "clinking our glasses to welcome 2019", we spent the last week of break moving a little slower, being silly when running errands with mom...

...and FRIEND TIME!!  Harper got to spend the better half of a day playing with Ms. Riley and then we joined her mama for dinner- good day for sure!  She spent the better half of the week gabbing it up with friends in her room, enjoying detoxing from all the festivities and hanging with her people- loved it!

Harper so desperately wanted a shelter cat for Christmas.  It was #1 on her list to Santa and everything.  Unfortunately, our current family cat isn't the friendliest, so I wasn't sure about welcoming a new furry addition to our family.
Instead, Santa gave her a calendar and a volunteer form to mark some days to visit furry friends who were awaiting adoption.

...lucky for us, the Pate kids are also good shelter volunteers, and opted to go with us, along with their mama, this past weekend.  The kids enjoyed loving on and playing with the kitties around the shelter.  I (of course:)) fell in love with a cat I named Scruffy!  I hope to visit he/she again... or that he finds his forever home soon.

We ended our volunteer work with some Dairy Queen yumminess!  I think they enjoyed the sweet treat;).

Winter Break is coming to a close... the alarm clocks are back on... groceries bought for lunches... and routine organized.  I do love the break, but also look forward to the REFRESHED feeling I have with beginning a new year.  I have goals and lists for this year: mostly to slow down a little and travel more, but all in all- here we go 2019- lets make it a goodie;)!!!!
