Last Week of School Festivities!!
Lunch with the Big!
AND she lost her first tooth!!!!
Kicking off her last week of Kindergarten right;).
Harper's class of Starfish just before their end-of-the-year concert! They were told to be fancy shmancy! LOVE the boys with bow-ties;)!
I was sitting in the back with the crazy little sisters. My videos of the performance were 80% the back of the person's head in front of me so I got no FAB pics of the group. Oh brother. We're such amateurs. Maybe we'll be more prepared at the 1st grade finale- HAHA, but here's the one loan picture. She DID have a speaking part as well and she did SO well. I think Pete and I's jaws both hit the floor when she walked right up to that mic and said her lines like a pro- way to GO, Harper Grace!
...happy girl enjoying her fancy shmancy evening!
Obligatory pic of her flowers and program- only evidence I have of her speaking part... did I mention we are school performance ammeters?! HA!
Parents were invited during the last week of school to a celebration in the classroom. Talk about PULLING. AT. YOUR. HEART STRINGS. Holy smokes. Each child put together a hard cover book of their memories of kindergarten which they read to us, followed by a 10 minute slideshow of pictures from the school year, and then a little speech and farewell gift from their teacher. Pass me the tissues please.... I was the soppy mess in the back row for sure.
...love her class so much!!!!
"photo booth" set up for the kids to dress silly and pose- LOVED IT!!
And Miss Rieland... what a YEAR it has been and she has been the hand I've held through the whole thing. She has brought so much positive energy and happy to Harper's 1st year of elementary school. She is amazing and I am more than grateful for the positive influence she has had on Harper. She will be missed, but the lessons she has taught, and the values she has instilled in Harper will last a lifetime.
...and THIS lady is incredible, the principal of the school in it's very FRIST year, she has rocked it. She knows all the children by name, and acknowledges me BY NAME every time I see her. Harper adores her and she has been an incredible leader...
...I LOVE that she sat right down with Harper and another student and let Harper read to her. Made Harper (and her momma) feel special on an incredibly crazy day for her I'm sure.
Thank you, Karen and ALL of Meadow Ridge for ALL you do!! Our first year as part of a school system as been truly amazing thanks to all of you;).
Maggie's last bus ride to preschool!
She sure did LOVE Ms. Ebonye and her bus para! Gosh, I was SO nervous at the beginning of the year for Maggie to ride the bus. Little did I know just how great it would be for her. She chats and sings the whole way with a smile on her face!
I was able to join her class for their last story-time- it was SO GREAT!! Maggie was so engaged the whole time...
...and danced and sang the whole way through the song! LOVE
Little sister enjoyed the shenanigans from Mags' seat- hehe!
Ms. Christina and Ms Kim.
Teacher and Para.
AMAZING WOMEN!!!!
Ms. Kim and Ms. Nancy
Para and Speech therapist.
Also- AMAZING TEAM to help little squirt learn her "voice" this past year!!
And Maggie's FAVORITE bus drivers that bring her home...
Mr. Tim and Ms. Michelle- THANK YOU for loving Maggie and our family SO MUCH. We appreciate you both more than you know- you will be dearly missed!
To say Maggie's last day at preschool was bittersweet for me would be an understatement. Maggie has TAKEN OFF this past year in all of her skills, but most importantly- socially. She has LOVED school, her teachers, her bus drivers, her therapists, and her friends in class. A year ago, she would have cried and clung to me in a new social surrounding, but now- she does fine, and actually enjoys more and more being out- I owe so much of that to the TEAM of incredible people who helped build her confidence- THANK YOU WAYZATA!!!
My view from the porch as I watched Daddy {with Evelyn on his shoulders;)} walk Harper and her neighbor friends down to the bus stop for the very last time together. So bittersweet!!!!!!!
What an INCREDIBLE year it has been for Maggie and Harper. So much growth and happy memories they've had. So grateful for all the opportunity they've had in school...
CHEERS TO ANOTHER SCHOOL YEAR IN THE BOOKS!!!
