Life isn't about the breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away...

Here and Now...but not for much longer!!

We are moving... AGAIN!
Ha... this picture looks a lot like a pregnancy announcement- OOPS!  No baby on the horizon I promise, but the Lee family of 5 IS packing up and heading back down south.

Our year in Minnesota has been one of growth for all of us: we've learned a thing or two about surviving negative degree temperatures, fallen in LOVE with the park life up here, and learned so much with all 3 of our munchkins being in school!  Pete has also grown a lot during his time in the General Mills home office.  All was well except we found that some of Maggie's programs were different here and we were struggling to keep up with some of the changes. Other than that, we truly have had a pretty good gig for us this year, but when an opening came from General Mills Bentonville, we just knew it was time to head back.

I still find myself laughing and shaking my head when I realize just how fond we have become of that little town in Arkansas.  If you would have told Pete and I 10 years ago THAT'S where we would end up, we would have laughed it off, but I tell you- that place is good for the soul.  We welcomed each of our babies into this world there, it's where we established our first home, and met some incredible people whom we consider family.  If his career had to lead us away from our true family, we feel blessed to call Bentonville our home away from home.

So... July 2017 we'll be back in Arkansas country- here goes nothing!!!

In the meantime though, the girls have been GROWING UP before our very eyes!  Loose teeth, more words, and potty training OH MY!!!

May the Fourth Be With You...
My Star Wars Loves on 5/4/17
...they are obsessed
...and I still have no interest- HA!

Harper has been ALL ABOUT DADDY this month!!!
they are yoga buddies (and he LOVES it... shhhh don't tell him;))...
and been enjoying all the fun spring-time outside projects (like bathing Norman for the first time since we moved- HA)

She's LOVING playtime with friends as always...

...and her new thing is 'writing stories'.  We have lots of looseleaf journals and notebooks and she is quickly filling them with stories and I love it!  This particular page made me laugh: The words say "I like my tent" and she drew a picture of she and her sisters playing... Evelyn in the tent, herself to the left, and Maggie to the right.  Notice how Maggie is lying on her side.  Harper draws her that way in EVERY family picture.  Maggie doesn't walk on her own, but army crawls everywhere.  I love that Harper depicts her sister just as she sees her... a bit fascinating to me;) and worth the share!

Tooth fairy visits are upon us!  She has been willing her teeth to become loose for months now.  Being one of the youngest in her class she has seen so many classmates with the toothless grins and tooth fairy stories to share.  She is determined that she will loose a tooth before school lets out for the summer, because she cannot WAIT to wear her plastic tooth necklace (containing her lost tooth) from the school nurse.  Oh goodness... such are the status symbols of kindergarten- HA!  Well, we have a wiggler folks... hoping that floppy bottom tooth will fall out sooner rather than later so she can be back to eating with her whole mouth- HA!  Tooth fairy, here we come!!

Maggie Lou is trotting right along through hippo therapy.  She still loves it and we continue to notice incredible improvement in her posture, and gross motor stamina!!

She even got to be a part of the campaign this year for the Hold Your Horses program!!  I was so excited and felt honored to share Maggie's story and her growth through the program with others.
Go Maggie Go!!

We ran into a slight hiccup (aka paperwork was lost) with Maggie's permanent gait trainer.  So.... it'll be another month before we have the official beauty at home, but her school physical therapist came through with this loaner until hers comes!!  I was beyond thrilled and Harper seems to be a little physical therapist in training.  She LOVES working with Maggie in the evenings to walk around the downstairs- so fun!  Maggie loves being more a part of activities with her sisters- happy girl for sure!

She also started saying her name!!  I love hearing her sweet voice say "Maggie" when we say hello to her and she gets so excited when we respond!  She started saying "Nana" when my mom was visiting, and "all done" when she is finished with an activity or a meal.  Her growth this year has been incredible and her ability to push through barriers and be HER is so inspiring;).

Ms Evelyn is also growing up.... she is officially potty trained!!!!!  My friends Jen and Beth talked me into the 3-day-all-in-no-pants-party style potty training back when Harper was little.  I swore it was going to be terrible, but just when Pete and I wanted to throw in the urine-soaked towel with it all (ha!), it clicked and she was totally potty trained on day 3.

Well, Ms. Evelyn was pretty much begging to be done with her diapers for good, so Pete and I pinkie-shook and decided it was time: 3-days-all-in-no-pants-party here we come!  She got it after 1/2 a day. The kid is a CRAZY pants, and her go-go-go personality was in our favor for this one.  She acted like she just didn't have time for accidents and was done- easy peasy!  She was so proud of herself with a huge grin plastered on her face, and I even got this note from school- she went potty no problem!!!

{School Pics}
Daddy even got to visit for a yummy family breakfast!

She loves her Daddy goof-off time...

...but is never too far from getting herself in trouble- GEESH!!
Instead of nap time she decided to empty her entire dresser into the hallway
{all clothing and toys are now in her locked closet until further notice;)}
and she now knows my phone's password and used all my "space" snapping pictures of her forehead (see above example of such adventure).  She is a CHARACTER, but makes us laugh so much.  She loves life, wants to be a part of it all, and has the sweetest voice EVER.
She just makes me TIRED.... GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!!

HAPPY 8 YEARS, BABE!!!
Feels like yesterday we snapped this picture in my dorm room... young teenage love!!
We celebrated 8 years married on May 2nd... all these years later we still enjoy our time together and I think it's safe to say we are each other's best friend...

LOVE YOU, PETE!!!

We celebrated with a fresh-baked version of our wedding cake and a fun family night together...

Cheers to eight years together and another big change upon us!!
Can't believe we have 1 month left here in Minnesota before we're Arkansas-bound!!!  Cliche I know, but what a wild ride- don't think I'd change a thing though!!

I wish you all a wonderful end of the school year and summer... I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to slowing down the pace, enjoying the longer days, and soaking in the sunshine!!
