With Harper in Kindergarten now, this year we were able to have our first "official" Spring Break!! Thank you, Wayzata School District for a week and a half break!!! It was great to take a "pause" and enjoy some family time for sure!
Day 1: Maggie Lou had therapy and Evelyn had preschool, so the Biggest Sister got to tag along with Mommy... coffee/hot chocolate and doughnuts seemed a good way to start it off!!!
...and having Harper there was PERFECT motivation for Maggie to get her walking in!! She wanted to walk wherever her big sister was... have I mentioned how much I cannot WAIT to have a gait trainer at home?!?!?! Maggie will be thrilled to be up moving around with her sisters- ahhhh, so exciting!!!
When the weekend came, daddy joined the Spring break shenanigans, we loaded up the van and headed south! We decided to spend half of the break, back where it all began: good 'ol Arkansas!!!
Harper's 6th birthday actually fell over the break this year, and we decided to take her back to one of her fave places for a party and long over due playtime with friends!!!
We invited a few of her close friends for a small party at High Rise trampoline park! She had a BLAST....
...and her sisters seemed to enjoy it just as much!!!
{LOVE getting this one to smile...and that laugh... Mags, you get me EVERY time!!}
...and then we headed across the street to one of her favorite pizza places, Gusanos, for lunch and cake!
{Little Miss with some of her besties;)}
{Happy birthday, Sweet Girl!!!!!}
{looks like someone got ahold of my camera- ha!}
It was a bit rainy, but we were able to head out and visit our tiniest munchkins... I had missed them SOOOOOOOOO much! Pete and I each took some time with them and made sure to dress up their memorial for Easter.
Love you, Jack and Nora! Happy {almost} Easter, Sweet Angel Babies!
Our first evening there we of COURSE had dinner at Fish City- YUM!!!!
...and then headed back to the old 'hood!! To say we were thrilled to be back on Rosedale Avenue would be an understatement!!
Thanks for the visit and fun, Price family. Your home is GORGEOUS and sitting with a glass of wine back on your couch was good for the soul;)!!!
Swimming Time!!!
We took it easy the day after the party and did some swimming at the hotel;)! Daddy, these girls LOVED the indoor swimming- pool in our future maybe?!?! HA!
We were also able to enjoy Pete's favorite part of Bentonville: Crystal Bridges! Such a yummy lunch at Eleven, and the rain cleared at the perfect time for a walk in the gardens- so pretty!!
Friend Dinner!!
We were able to check our Kassi + Derrick's brand new home- GORGEOUS and enjoy a yummy dinner and playtime with them! Again, so overdue, but so nice to visit... it's like we just picked up right where we left off- LOVE YOU GUYS!
Thank you, Harrison Family for a wonderful night!!!
Last stop before we left... to see the Pate family and THEIR brand new home! Wow, so impressed, Pate's with your craftiness!!! LOVED finally being able to prop myself up at the island and chat- 6 months daydreaming of that moment- it was worth every single second for sure.... my GOODNESS have we missed you guys!
Thank you for the yummy food and great company, Pate Family!!!
We were able to cram so much into just a few short days... but I swear there is never enough time. I had more places I wanted to visit- more people I wanted to hug... but traveling with kiddos makes the schedule a bit challenging. Hope to be back down that way again soon to REALLY make up for lost time with each of our sweet friends...
Cheers Arkansas.... you did not disappoint and were the PERFECT way to spend Spring break '17!!
