My baby... my teeny tiny baby turned TWO this week!!! How can that be?! I remember like yesterday the complete and utter shock of being pregnant with her... the days and days.... and days of bedrest... shaking and praying during the c section for my healthy baby to come and her first cries...holding her adorable, scrunchy self for the first time... my heart MELTING watching my 3 girls huddles together in the hospital room- ALL like it was yesterday.
Evelyn was one of the greatest surprises for our little family.
She is incredibly sweet and cuddly.
Loves LOVES to clean.
Too smart for her own good.
Independent.
Mischievous.
Loved so so much.
Completes our family in the best way.
And is ROCKIN' being two!!
She began birthday celebrations at school, with a chocolate and vanilla goldfish snack with her besties and even got the bean bag during story time- she was feeling like the top banana for SURE!!
Then, on Saturday {two days before her actual birthday} we decided to celebrate with a family outing to the aquarium and Shake Shack!! This child LOVES fish! We 'fish sat' for a neighbor and you would have thought it was a pony with how excited- and a bit obsessed- she was over Marshal the beta fish. HAHA!
She wasn't so crazy about touching the sea sponges that wrapped around your finger...
...but she LOVED the sharks and the sea turtles and especially the jelly fish!
After the aquarium- and a good nap;), we indulged in an 'Evelyn's Favorites' birthday dinner of pizza, strawberries dipped in chocolate and a bundt from Nothing Bundt Cakes...
...she proceded to dip EVERY bite of her pizza into the chocolate dip... HOLY MOLY!
...but wasn't so sure about the fire on her cake- or blowing it out for that matter- HA!
But after the fire was gone, she was TOTALLY fine eating the cake...
- I mean scraping all the icing off and leaving the moist, delicious cake- crazy kid!!
And then it was present time! Harper was always so apprehensive about opening presents at two...
...not this kid!
She could hardly contain herself and LOVED ripping into them with her big sister {who has since gotten over the apprehension- ha}!!
{even Mags was in on the action}
{putting a few of the sweet presents to good use!!}
On her actual birthday, we eat another Evelyn-favorite-dinner of homemade chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese.
And keeping with tradition, a cinnamon and sugar cake- just Evelyn's size!
{and yep... she STILL just scraped the icing off- HA!!}
Little Miss wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped make her feel special turing 2!!
Now time- PLEASE- slow down... my baby is getting TOOOOOOO big for this momma to handle!!
