Oh how this blog has been so many things to me throughout the years: at first I used it to connect with family when I first moved to Bentonville as I wanted to still feel a part of the close family and friends we had back in Indiana. Then it morphed into an online scrapbook of events, pictures, and moments I wanted to forever remember of my little family and then again as a prayer network when we went through our toughest moments in our temporary home in St. Louis. Now, as I look to the handful or so of blogged moments between our time in St. Louis and now, I realize how much I miss its importance in my life. I have hopes of one day turning all these blog entries into a bound book for my children to remember how their family started out way back when and the void of entries saddens me.
Between our time in St. Louis and now so so much has changed.
From St. Louis life learning the ins and outs of a NICU and our precious miracle baby to living at home with hospital equipment and therapists by our side and then to learning life with Maggie withOUT the help of therapists and nurses in our home.
From Pete working for Newell Rubbermaid outside our house to him working for Annie's Homegrown from inside our house and then switching again to working outside the house.
From one Bentonville, AR address to another.
From raising 2 little girls to a troublesome pregnancy to raising 3.
New schedules, new friends, newness all around... it has been hard to regain my footing with the change, but now that little Ms. Evelyn is a part of our family and we are settling into our life with her, I feel a sense of freshness...
Here we are in this new-ish house, new-ish baby, and new-ish schedules and I feel like life is beginning to slow down a bit. The feeling of treading water as we gear up for the next big change is starting to fade; I feel like I am finally on solid ground and able to take a deep breath and enjoy more moments with my family.
With that being said, I have been able to kick up my feet, plug in the good-ol iPhone and download pictures of our crazy life- gearing up to adequately return to my bloggin' life! I have so much to catch up on with this little blog and I hope to spend the next little bit filling the gaping hole of moments from the past 6 months. I am excited to start sifting through pictures and revisiting all the fun and crazy that has happened... beginning with a picture of our new little family:
Here we are feeling a bit more at ease and ready to tackle this life raising 3 of our babies;)!
Happy Blogging to Me!!!!
