Oh my dear blog- where have you been?! The holidays always seem to be a bit of a whirlwind, and this year was no different: moving into a new home while navigating pregnancy and taking the time to enjoy the holidays with my munchkins has been so so crazy, but an amazing blessing all the same! Such is life when you have a family, right?
We are finally feeling settled into our new house. It took awhile, but at least all the boxes are unpacked within the living space... now to make this house a home {who knew nesting could carry beyond prepping for the baby...it's like the whole house needs to be perfect before Evelyn arrives- ha}.
{It was so great to drive by and see that 'Sold Sign...hehe- and did I mention we're close enough now to walk Harper to preschool and elementary school?! That was one of my favorite things about where I grew up- excited to have that same opportunity with my kiddos.}
Harper has been a bouncing 3-year-old for sure. The new house has been good for her (and us) to give her space to spread her wings a little bit. She has an opinion about everything and makes us a bit crazy with her stubbornness (hmmm... where does she get that? ;)), but she is equally loving as stubborn. The part I love the most, is the want for kisses and hugs, and how excited she gets to see me at the end of a school day. I know all that won't last forever, so trying to soak up those moments.... because usually those warm fuzzies are followed by more of a boiling over feeling- like for instance when her legs just are way too tired to get up the stairs to get ready for bed or cleaning up her toys just makes her too hot- GOT to love her- ha!
{Her first mani/pedi. One of the most adorable (and calm) birthday parties I have ever been to- she LOVED it}
{Home for the Holidays: we were able to head up to Indy to spend some time with our families. Although we had to be a bit hermit-like, since we're not to have Maggie out in public through the flu/RSV season, we had a BLAST just visiting and catching up in an unrushed way. Harper LOVED putting together the gingerbread village with Nana and her aunts;)}
{We had a small dusting of snow this past weekend. What better time to break out the new snowsuit- hehe! Again, when did she get so big?!?!}
Speaking of growing up, little sister is doing a bit of that herself! She is sitting semi-supported now while playing and her arms and legs are getting stronger all the time. She LOVES any toy she can put in her mouth (thinking teething is upon us;)) and rolling around on the ground. She is learning to feed herself and just switched to a sippy cup! She is 'talking' constantly and loves rough-housing with her Daddy (Mommy gets to nervous for that stuff-hehe).
{working on sitting and playing at therapy- thank goodness for her amazing therapists helping she (and I) navigate the world of cerebal palsy- they truly are rockstars}
{pretty sure this man is Maggie's 3rd most favorite person in the whole world (behind her parents of course;)). Maggie sure does love her Papa- love watching them together!}
{disregard our crazy bed head, but check out little munchkin drinking her milk like a big girl- I almost jumped out of my seat watching her do it... and the grin she has on her face after sucking down the last drop- priceless... these little milestones overwhelm me with happiness and pride- way to go, sweetheart}
And littlest sister is still a-cookin'! I admit, I held my breath through the 'danger zone' as we called it (the couple weeks when the triplets came in pregnancy), but now that we are 30 weeks I am beginning to calm down. All tests and ultrasounds show that she is doing well. I am getting bigger and more uncomfortable, but wouldn't change it for the world- stay warm and cozie, Evelyn!
{The two of us at 30 weeks. Kinda cool now that I'm looking at picture, we are in front of Harper and Maggie's going-home outfits... cannot WAIT to add hers to the bunch soon!!}
So here we are starting a new year. I am so excited for 2015. Hoping the beginning will be the most chaotic of it; after welcoming Evelyn I'm hoping we can enjoy a slower pace and enjoy our girls! We wish you ALL the HAPPIEST New Year- cheers to health and happiness this year!!
