I do enjoy the Fourth of July... probably because it's my birthday, also because its a FUN summer holiday, but mostly as an excuse to make fun food, invite the neighbors, and laugh while watching the dads light stuff on fire- haha!
{Fireworks!!!}
....with festive food of course)- give me ALL the red, white, and blue!
...and a few fireworks;)...
...with great friends!!!
SO MUCH FUN and a great way to start the month!!!
Main event: Week at Nana's to celebrate!!!!
Evelyn had to get her skittles before heading in;)....
I loved ALL the decorations and sweet touches my mom added to the week!! Even got to go to the parade like we used to when we were little!
...AND celebrate MY little sister's birthday that is also in July;).
Happy 25, Aunt Anna!!!!!
Mostly though, the week was filled with all the fun shenanigans!!!!
...LOTS of walks in the wagon for Maggie!
...goofiness with aunts and uncles....
...and pooltime/tickles for everyone!!!
ahhh- they're soooooo cute!!!
I was SO grateful we all could be together under one roof for awhile (missed Abby and Adam for sure;))....
...but loved all the catching up we got to do. Even these two were busy chatting it up on the back deck;)- love!!!
Last BUT NOT LEAST, we got to spend one last day in Cambridge at the Lee home before their August move to Florida.
This home... Pete moved into when he was Harper's age, originally built in the 1800s, is BEAUTIFUL and a place I always called "vacation in Cambridge City". His parents had spent most of their life improving the home and enjoying it with their boys. I have SO MANY great memories there and although I was THRILLED they were able to sell it and buy their dream home in Florida (their Indiana house sold in like 6 hours;)), I had some teary moments thinking about this chapter coming to a close for them.
We spent the WHOLE day telling sharing stories about the house, eating YUMMY food from Hilltop (best burger/ice cream float joint around;))....
...and swimming until our hearts content. SUCH A GREAT HOUSE....
...with loads of memories. But we'll follow those people anywhere;).... and I have to admit- a Florida address DOES sound pretty appealing;)- hehe! Cannot WAIT to visit Tom and Darla in their brand new digs!!!! Florida here we COME!!!!!
...but FIRST, we have to pack up our crazy crew and the few extra items we gathered while in Indy- oops- and head back to Arkansas to soak up the last days of summer;).....
Cheers, Indiana and Cheers to another Fourth of July in the books- happy 36 YEARS, to me!
