Easter... it may actually share the same excitement level as I have for Christmas- HA! I love this holiday so much: proof that spring is on the horizon, all the colors come out, major cause for celebration at church, AND Easter brunch!!!!!
...all the decorating- bunny ears EVERYWHERE!!!!
Easter Egg dying and hunts all around....
Love that my girls get just as excited! They love dying and decorating the Easter eggs, helping prep food for the brunch we host each year, AND helping stuff ALL those plastic eggs!
Easter morning!!!!
Tried something new (thanks for the idea Jen;)) of doing a scavenger hunt for the girls to find their baskets. My mom and dad actually did one for my siblings this past Christmas (yes I am aware we are grown adults;)), but it was so FUN and I couldn't wait to do it with my girls!
They LOVED it!! Sleepy-faced squeals heard all around our house as they ran from room to room trying to find the next clue. They didn't want the clues to end... I loved it!!!
{Easter Basket Fun}
...of COURSE Evelyn was already eating her chocolate rabbit at- ahem.... 7am;)
Mags was snoozing through the scavenger hunt, but we were able to snap a pic of her later next to her basket... she LOVED tearing all the cling wrap off and digging into the goodies!!
{Brunch Ready}
Girls in their Easter swag- check
Harper opted for a bun;)... and with that I swear she aged 5 years- so cute!
Tulips out- check
SO CUTE!!!!
{Maggie and Daddy having fun at the Easter egg hunt;)...}
Friends! Friends!! Friends!!!
Love how it's been so many of the same people coming year after year... despite the craziness that happens as kids get older and schedules get nutty, I get to see so many of the same faces- so fun!!
Another year in the books babe.... it was our largest one yet with 18 families invited and literally pounds and pounds of food, but we LOVED it!!! Grateful for the friendships we've created down here that allow for such an annual event, grateful for my mother and mother-in-laws delicious recipes and traditions they have passed down, and grateful for this guy- who spends the better half of Easter weekend helping me prep and cook!
Love.
Happy Easter 2019!
