March Madness 2018!

Amidst the weekend get-away celebrations with family and birthday extravaganzas, the girls have enjoyed a good month...

March always seems to come and go SO quickly, but here are some snapshots of the girlies...

{School Pics- LOVE}

Evelyn has been busy busy.... LOST in pretend play these days, its been so fun to see her imagination come to life!!  She has become a bit more stubborn these last few weeks- can we say "Three-nager?!"  LOVE that term, Jen!  Anyway, she has had something to say about EVERYTHING she is asked to do and truly just wants to do WHATEVER her big sister is doing- so sweet!  She is still LOVING school and is chomping at the bit to be outside more!!

Maggie Lou is doing well in her therapies.  Standing more.  Sitting more.  And pulling up on more things (at least for her therapists;)).

{Her list of words}
She is speaking more and more and it's pretty fun to hear her little voice come to life and how much she lights up when we understand her... always impressed by her!  Her favorite moments: sitting on someone's lap and being read to while she turns the pages... love cuddling her!!!!!

She JUST started in a new preschool program one day/week to increase her socialization with other kiddos her age and to slowly begin the transition to kindergarten!!
Maggie is a busy lady, but she seems to like it that way.  It's amazing to see the strides she's taken and  how much she enjoys socializing with others.  She seeks interaction and I love to see her light up seeing Pete and I and her sisters.  She is really starting to "know" her people- heart happy moment for sure.

Another heart happy moment: Uncle Aaron surprising us with a visit!!  Always, rough housing and getting them all wound up before bed- HA!

Harper Grace blew our socks off this month with her performance in her school's ballet program.  Taught by our friend, Shannon, there were over 300 kiddos that participated in the performance.  No idea how Shannon orchestrated such a beautiful event...  There were at least 6 first grade performances alone!  Harper had been practicing all year long and it showed....
She danced to the song "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton.  It was so cute...

...and the outfits were just as cute!

...even her teacher was in a dance.  It was so fun!!!  Amazing to see Harper's talents shine.  All to often I worry and am aphrenrsive of letting her "do her thing" fearful of what COULD happen.  Well, the COULD turned into an amazing and confident 6-year-old who was glowing with pride after performing.  I think my mom pride was shining bright as well that night....

...Love you, little lady!!

We opted for a "stay-cation" this Spring Break with all the traveling we had to do aside from the break!  It was nice... the little girls kept with their usual routine, and big sister and I spent some fun time just the two of us...
checking out new baby chicks at a store near by...
frozen yogurt for two...
playdates...
and chats...

As the girls get older, I enjoy the one-on-one time that much more.  Getting to know their little personalities.  They are SO different, yet alike.  It's chaos most of the time, but again- my motto "slow down, Amy" runs through.... when I actually DO I see how cool these little people are- hehe.  Parenthood is nuts.  Most of the time I am busy trying to make it all perfect and try to make things ok for them... working hard to be busy less- enjoy them more... even if it is unorganized and messy... haha!

Cheers to March Madness: crazy yet special... full of celebrating, family, and fun.
