A Spooktacular Week of Halloween!

This year I had my mind made up: we were going to do Halloween up right this year;)!!  Year 1 with Harper: she was freaking out in her costume and ended up not wearing it at all- ha!  Year 2: NICU stay {although those nurses were amazing dressing Maggie up in a Build-a-Bear costume:)}.  Year 3: We moved ON Halloween and ended up with Maggie in the ER for dehydration and sleeping in a hotel- yowsers.  Year 4: THIS was going to be our year- hehe.  Honestly, we may have been a little pooped when it was all said and done, but we enjoyed our Spooktacular Week spent with pumpkins, candy, and fun- all Frozen style of course!

We began the week with Harper's first field-trip where parents were invited.  Evelyn and I loaded up and met big sister at the pumpkin patch for a hayride, corn maze, and pumpkin selection.  So fun to see her with her little school friends and enjoy a good 'ol October past time!

Then on Thursday, it was time to rock the costumes for the first time and head to Pine Crest's Fall Festival!
Olaf, Queen Elsa, and Princess Anna were ready!
So, funny actually... Maggie LOVED her costume {although this pic may be a bit deceiving} and squealed with delight when Daddy put it on- ha, Evelyn didn't mind her luxurious Elsa braid, and of course Harper was in full character as soon as she put on her Anna costume.  First hiccup averted- girls loved the get-up- pheeew!
{Mom~ you are incredible!!  Those costumes were beautiful and so perfect for our trio}
Harper's amazing teachers, Ms. Amy and Ms. Maggie!

 And a couple pictures of Harper and her buddies... cannot believe these girls have all been together since they were 3 months old!!!!

 {The Queen.... and her Mommy:)}

Next up, Daddy's office for trunk-or-treat, indoor style (yucky weather!!)!  Pete's office put on a wonderful trunk-or-treat for the kids, complete with a yummy dinner, and face painting.  I decided we should participate in this trunk-or-treat, so Pete and I {in keeping with the Frozen theme} made a giant Olaf, complete with a real carrot nose, for his office!  We had a couple hiccups along the way, great help from Jen, and some goof laughs making the giant snow face- but Harper seemed stoked when he was altogether.  We all had a great time and the girls made out like bandits with the candy situation!

On Saturday, Happy Ghost arrived with a couple Halloween trinkets and it was time to gear up for the grand finale!  Growing up with a mom who adored holidays, I always get excited to celebrate with my kiddos and try to make them feel just as special as I did with all the holiday fun!  My mom's house this year truly looked like a store front complete with hot cocoa and coffee for parents so I talked Pete into doing the same....
Pete wasn't so sure, but I knew when he came home from work with a couple cases of cookie dough  that he was on board!  It took me quite a bit of time to bake all those pumpkin cookies, but I added it to out treat table and I think I did my mom proud- haha!

Celebrating another holiday with the Brundige family was a blast.  Guys manned the table for a few while the black-cat-mommas took the kiddos out to the neighborhood to trick or treat...

Although not the best picture, Queen Elsa and Olaf rode in a 'sled'...

...while the big kids walked.
{Harper has the heart eyes for Berkley's big brother, Bourne;)}.

Mommas swapped the Daddies at the treat table and the kids went onto another neighborhood to trick-or-treat, before heading back to 'test' some candy and watch a movie.  A fun evening for sure!
Thank you, Brundige family!!

 Halloween 2015 was a success.  These 3 little witches were all smiles and happy as we celebrated together... felt so blessed to enjoy it with them!!
