Pete is such an amazing Daddy to our little ones. He works crazy hard to give us a good life, but he still finds time to get down on the floor with the girls, help me with dinner, and ALWAYS ends the day spending one-on-one time with each of them before bed. We lucked out in the Daddy category for sure and the girls and I had fun showing him how much me loved him this past weekend...
We began on Saturday by enjoying burgers and fries at Pete's favorite burger joint, The Station, on our Downtown Square (only after playing in the fountain of course;))!
Then we let Daddy sleep in a little on Sunday, but by about the 20th time of Harper begging to wake him up I gave in... we enjoyed breakfast together while Daddy (I mean Harper;)) opened the Father's day gifts...
He got a calendar of sweet pics of he and his leading ladies for his office and a new bird feeder to add to the backyard. Seriously the feeder was open for 5 min and already hung out back... another 15 min or so and we had the neighborhood of birds at our fence- it was so sweet watching Harper and Pete chat back and forth about all the commotion at the feeder... the pigeons, Big Louie and Big Phouie (frequent flyers of my parent's feeder) even paid our house a visit- awesome;)!
We finished up the day with one of Daddy's favorite pasta dishes, complete with homemade pesto using basil from our garden- the hubs does a fine job with that garden, I do have to say!
The best part though: this card Harper made at school of her thoughts about Daddy complete with a picture of she and him. I so enjoyed spoiling the hubs for a weekend. I know I'm not the best at showing him just how appreciative I am of all his hard work, but Harper and I had fun putting the mother load of love and appreciation into a Daddy-fun weekend;)....
Thank you Pete, for ALL you do for our little family! We love you!!!
