Oh yes... I think this is the most behind I have been with the blog in awhile- yikes! It's been a very eventful summer- lots of happy moments! We were able to attend Pete's fraternity brother's wedding in Cincinnati, spend a week with family celebrating my sister, Abby's, wedding, and enjoyed many happy moments with friends and family along the way....
It has become tradition that the Brundige and Lee families get together to celebrate the 4th of July! Both husbands love fireworks (or maybe just lighting stuff on fire- ha), and who am I kidding- I LOVE all the yummy food and conversation with my feet propped up watching all the stuff being lit on fire- ha! I think it may be because I am a 4th of July baby, but I love that we have found a family down here that enjoys the holiday as much as we do! We celebrated the weekend before since my sister wedding fell on the actual holiday this year... so fun!
the kiddos at first...
...then they slowly warmed up once they realized the fun of fireworks as long as they were safe with their daddies;)!
Friend Hugs! These girls have been classmates since Harper was 3 months old! Great friends!
Yep.... that's OUR little firecracker!
Thank you Brundige family for yet another fun 4th of July Celebration! Next year, your house though... our neighborhood wasn't quite as fond of the spectacle that is a firework show like yours is- ha!
Then we packed up and headed to Indiana for the week for wedding festivities!!!! We sadly learned little Maggie gets carsick- no fun!! After a call into her pediatrician we were told what to do to get her through and little miss seemed content- slept most of the way! FYI: vomit in the carseat is not fun!!!!
While there I was able to have lunch with my great friend, Christy, and her son, Benjamin. It was SO great to visit and introduce her to Ms. Maggie... thanks's for all the cuddle time, Christy!!
...and thank you Benjamin, for being so sweet and patient with Harper!
...and a trip to Indy is not complete until Harper and Papa get to visit the horses;)!
...as well as having a 'mini fieldtrip' checkin out Uncle Aaron's airplane. I swear Harper is obsessed with planes- taking after you I think Uncle Aaron and Papa? ;)
Happy Baby spending time with her Auntie Anna!
After a big CHEERS to the new Mr. & Mrs. Albright, we headed back to Arkansas to spend some fun summer days with friends! Harper discovered water balloons with her best neighborhood friends, Riley & Gavin! Oh man they just couldn't get enough- thank goodness for the all-in-one filler and tier of water balloons- ha!
Pool Day Fun!!!
Maggie and Harper both LOVE the water, although going under is not something Harper is fond of! Thank goodness for a fantastic swim instructor, Ms. Donna, at our pool- that woman works wonders and has incredible patience! By the end of the summer Harper was going underwater- I'll take that as a win;)!! Maggie and I enjoyed the hot days from the cool water of the baby pool!
Little Sister started eating!! Avocado seems to be her favorite vegetable, but she's a sweets girl through and through. So different from her veggie-loving older sister, Maggie spits like a camel to let you know she is all done with veggie bites- crazy girl!
Harper has been crazy this summer. She is beginning to grow out of naps, but Mommy just isn't ready- I look forward to that hour of quiet time each day;). This was one day when she told me she just couldn't sleep- yep... few minutes later she's passed out on her bedroom floor;).
... and little sister started being strong enough to play with toys and bring them to her mouth- so exciting! My girls are growing up... time please slow down;)!!!!
