I just have to say... girls in school has been one of the best things for all of us! My babies are enjoying it so much!! They each have their quirks and little adjustments as the school year has begun, but all in all, I cannot be happier... each in their own programs, each having their own purpose to their day, and each with stories and/or pictures to tell me all about their days- I love it all and am grateful for the programs we have found in Minnesota.
Ms. Harper is enjoying Kindergarten. What an adjustment it has been this year: new school, new friends, new EVERYTHING for her after 5 years of the same. It is taking a little getting used to, but she is doing very well with her school work and working on the paying attention thing;). She makes us proud when we hear of how kind and caring she is with her teachers and classmates. Makes my heart happy to know that she is kind to others- my biggest and daily motto. My mind is struggling, and I am scratching my head with the amount of ants in her pants though- ha! She cannot sit still and she's making me crazy ;)... but her teacher is AMAZING and we are bound and determined to help this little kind-hearted soul take all that energy and turn it into success... thank GOODNESS for Ms. Rieland;)...
...and thank goodness for the app, Seesaw! I LOVE seeing pictures from her day, videos, and even pictures Harper snaps herself of the work she does! Such a sweet girl... and she can be studious (when she wants to be;)).
{SOOOOO fun exploring a fire truck and learning all about stop-drop-and roll;)... she had LOTS to share about the way things go down if there's a fire;)!!}
Maggie Lou makes my heart ooey gooey these days with all the good happening with her at school. I knew it was time for Maggie to spread her wings a little bit, but I still didn't know how she would take such a big change. Well, as always, this little girl takes life by storm and is doing so well. She loves it all: the bus rides, the snack, the group play, the playground, and her therapies...
... and did I mention how cool her para, Ms. Kim is?! The first day I took her and Ms. Kim meets me at the door: "I noticed during our conference that Maggie really liked my bracelets, so I wore a bunch of them for her to play with". I mean wow- my eyes got a little teary at the thought she already put in after meeting Maggie for 10 minutes. She has done nothing but help Maggie flourish in her classroom ever since... LOVE!
...her at-school therapies are going well and getting pictures throughout her day of her interacting in the classroom melts me to a puddle- ha! So happy for her!
We went to Maggie's first fundraiser, a pajama pancake breakfast at Applebees! Ha! It was an interesting concept, but it was so yummy and her teachers came by to say hello!!
{This picture is awful but I had to document... NO ONE looking at the camera but Mommy- typical- ha!}
Littlest munchkin is cracking us up with her love of school. She wants her coat, book bag, and mittens on (yes we live in Minnesota now- its already cold!!).. and then promptly tips over- ha! She loves her little routine: get her gear on, give Mommy a kiss and a hug, and grab Daddy's hand to head to the car. He buckles her in and she waves and says "Bye Bye, Mommy". When did she get to be so big?!
Goddard also sends pictures throughout her day which I love...
This child may be bit naughty at home, but her teachers say she is so sweet and does all the activities at school- ha! I guess I'd rather her be this way than the reverse;), but still....
So the Lee girls are enjoying all that school is: the new friends, new environments, and new routine are treating them well. I am so glad, but a little bittersweet... not sure how excited I am about this whole growing up thing;).
